Kraft paper covered winding wire is a wire made of oxygen-free copper rod or electrical round aluminum rod, which is extruded or drawn through a certain specification die and then annealed. It is then wrapped with two or more layers of insulating paper (including telephone paper, cable paper, high-voltage cable paper, inter-turn insulation paper, etc.) on the copper (aluminum) conductor. It is suitable for oil-immersed transformer coils and other electrical winding wires.

The production process of Kraft paper covered copper (aluminum) flat wire involves the use of paper as an insulating material. This paper has extremely high electrical, chemical and mechanical integrity, as well as good elasticity, flexibility, tear resistance, moisture resistance and wear resistance. It is compatible with all kinds of varnishes, adhesives, transformer fluids, lubricants and refrigerants, and is not easily damaged by insects, fungi and mold.
When the temperature is not higher than 200℃, the electrical and mechanical properties of this wire are basically unaffected. Even if it is continuously exposed to a high temperature of 220℃, it can maintain its performance for at least 10 years.
The production process of paper-wrapped copper (aluminum) flat wire also includes the use of aromatic polyamide paper wrapped by extruding bare copper (aluminum) wire. This material is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion and can replace the difficult-to-make composite enameled flat wire. Kraft paper covered round (rectangular) wires is mainly used in equipment in the fields of power generation and metallurgy. These fields have high requirements for the electrical properties, mechanical strength and corrosion resistance of wires. Paper-coated copper (aluminum) flat wire can meet the special needs of equipment in these fields due to its excellent performance, ensuring the stable operation and long-term use of the equipment.
