The H116 temper of 5083 aluminum tread checkered plate indicates that the aluminum plate has been hardened and stabilized through cold working, so that the aluminum plate has good elongation (≥10%) while maintaining medium tensile strength (270-310MPa), which not only meets the process requirements of pattern stamping, but also ensures the deformation resistance of the finished product in long-term use.

Compared with H321 temper, the tensile strength of 5083 H116 aluminum tread checkered plate is slightly lower, but the anti-slip corrosion performance is better, which is suitable for use in marine or humid environments with higher corrosion resistance requirements.

✅ ‌Enhanced anti-slip performance

The surface hardness of 5083 H116 aluminum tread checkered plate is relatively high (Brinell hardness can reach 75HB), and the diamond and strip patterns formed by the embossing process can significantly improve the friction coefficient, which is especially suitable for anti-slip scenes such as ship decks and industrial platforms.

 

Optimized corrosion resistance

✅ Anti-corrosion in marine environments

H116 temper is specially designed for 5-series aluminum alloys (such as 5083 aluminum plates) with a magnesium content of ≥4%. The density of its surface oxide film is improved, and its salt spray corrosion resistance is significantly better than that of ordinary states such as H111. It is suitable for marine environments such as ships and docks.

Experimental data show that the corrosion rate of 5083 H116 aluminum tread checkered plate in an environment with a CL- ion concentration of ≥50,000ppm is only 60% of that of conventional aluminum plates.

✅ ‌Anti-peeling performance advantage

H116 temper reduces internal stress through stabilization treatment, effectively suppressing the problem of surface pattern peeling caused by stress corrosion in a humid environment.

 

Processing and usage restrictions

✅ Processing requirements

5083 H116 aluminum tread checkered plate has a high hardness (yield strength of 215-250MPa), which places higher requirements on the wear resistance of the embossing die; the punching force and lubrication process need to be adjusted when processing complex patterns.

If the plate needs to be subsequently welded, it should be noted that the H116 temper may cause the mechanical properties of the weld area to decrease due to work hardening, and the ductility needs to be restored through the annealing process.

✅ ‌Application scenario adaptability‌

‌Recommended scenarios‌: Ship anti-skid decks, vehicle pedals, coastal building decorations and other scenarios that require both anti-skid and corrosion resistance.

‌Not recommended scenarios‌: Complex pattern plates that require frequent bending or deep drawing (it is recommended to use soft 5083 O/H111 aluminum plates).
