Tank truck is a vehicle with a tank-shaped body. The tank body consists of front and back heads, front tank body, variable cross-section and rear tank body. The tank head is the end cap on the pressure vessel and is the main component of the pressure vessel, the function is to seal. The quality of the aluminum plate for tank truck head is directly related to the long-term safe operation of the tank truck. The tank truck heads need to resist the impact of oil on both sides of the tank during vehicle transportation, so the tank head aluminum sheet is 1mm thicker than the tank body aluminum sheet. The tank body generally uses 6mm thick aluminum plate, and the tank head aluminum plate thickness is generally 7mm. The tank head of the oil tanker can be processed and produced using 5083 aluminum sheet plate.

They are mainly used for tank body, heads, partitions/wave proof board and other parts. They have the characteristics of light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, rust prevention, good appearance, easy maintenance, durable, is especially suitable for long-distance transportation.
5083 Aluminum sheet plate for tank truck head belongs to the AL-Mg series alloy, has high strength, especially fatigue resistance, high plasticity and corrosion resistance, and good weldability. 5083-O aluminum plate is in the annealed status and is often used for tank truck heads and wave protection boards; 5083-H111 aluminum plate has high strength, good plasticity, and can withstand certain impacts and vibrations, and is often used in tank truck bodies; 5083-H32 aluminum plate has the strength and hardness lower than 5083-H111 aluminum plate, 5083-H32 aluminum plate can also be used to make the body of tank trucks, and is usually suitable for occasions with small pressure and load; 5083-H321 aluminum plate has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and is suitable for high-strength, it is used in high-pressure environments, like the liquid level gauge, air inlet and other parts of oil tank trucks.
